Difference between Sivananda Lahari and Soundarya Lahari

Sankara Bhagavatpadal wrote both the above Laharis, one dedicated to Lord Siva and another to Mother Sivani.

Soundarya Lahari consists of Mantras in the first 41 slokas and the rest are dedicated to the beauty of Mother.

Sivananda Lahari is purely emphasizing the Bhakti, and its beauty is mainly stemming from the pangs of separation of the bhakta from Lord. Many slokas are devoted to the description of bhakti. There are slokas which compare Lord Siva to a lion, a peacock and cloud etc.

The Bhakta virtually is like a Nayika who pines for reunion her Nayaka. The alankaras of the slokas simply take the breath away. Lord Siva as a remover of all fears is well explained in RODHAS THOYA HRIDA
slokam.

But Soundarya Lahari is basically different in construction. It extols the powers that can be obtained by the devotee, who sincerely recites the slookas.
